Freaks Unlimited’s background

Freaks Unlimited was established in 1988. We began as market traders and then opened a series of three high street shops in Bristol in the UK, from which we sold our own range of juggling and circus equipment as well as a huge range of other makes. We were only the second juggling shop to open in the UK and became for a while one of the biggest juggling shops in Europe with a huge range of juggling and circus products, including the Freaks Unlimited own brand range. Freaks Unlimited organised and ran weekly juggling workshops in Bristol for many years as well as the Freaks Unicycle Hockey Team which competed successfully at a national and international level.

The Freaks Unlimited range has always been associated with top quality, being well designed and built to last. The full range was sold all around the world to professional performers and amateurs alike. In the early days we manufactured a full range of professional juggling clubs, knives, fire torches, devil sticks, cigar boxes, beanbags, etc. Freaks Unlimited invented the first ever plastic juggling club rod, the ‘ProperRod’, for use inside clubs and torches, which was virtually indestructible and was over 10 years ahead of its time. We have now developed the most advanced rod ever used inside juggling equipment, the RaptorRod, which utilises composite material technology and is light years ahead of the original ProperRod or any of its imitators. Over the years many of our innovative products and ideas have been copied by others, but never to the same degree of quality.

We no longer operate from high street shops, having opted instead to concentrate on product development and manufacturing. We now use the internet exclusively to distribute our products.

The New Freaks Unlimited juggling and fire equipment range is now ready for launch and will be made available from our online web shop as we release each product .
